Are you the same Karen Whitworth who illustrated the Semi for a Sleigh book? I would love to talk to you about illustrating a book I would like to publish through the same company. I would like your thoughts and feedback if you are the same artist. If not, your work is still lovely!

Hi Bobbie, Thanks for checking out my blog!
I do work a lot from photos during the winter months when painting on location is a bit more problematic. I prefer to paint from life and have found that the learning that happens when I do, helps me immensely when I paint from photos.
As for finding one's style. I say paint what you love, the style you love, the size you love, do it passionately. Your style will emerge without effort. :)

Hi Karan, Love all your work. Do you work a lot from photos? I was told by an artist friend recently that I needed to develop my own style an stop copying others work. This has always confused me. Just how do you develop style. :)

Hi Terri,
I offer the option to use my materials so you can take the oils on a test drive before investing in them. :)
